How to Switch Binance to Chinese Language

· About 14 min read · CoinPath Editorial Team

Why You Might Need to Switch Languages

Binance serves users globally and supports dozens of languages including both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. You might need to switch to Chinese if you are a native Chinese speaker who registered with the default English interface, if you share your account with family members who prefer Chinese, or if you simply find the Chinese interface easier to navigate for your trading activities.

The language setting on Binance is independent of your registered region or KYC country. You can use any supported language regardless of your location.

Switching Language on the Binance App

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step one, open the Binance app and tap on your profile icon, usually located in the top-left corner of the home screen.

Step two, scroll down to find the Settings option and tap on it.

Step three, look for the Language or Language/Region option in the settings menu.

Step four, tap on Language to see the list of available languages.

Step five, scroll through the list and select your preferred Chinese variant. You will see two Chinese options: Simplified Chinese (used in mainland China, Singapore, and Malaysia) and Traditional Chinese (used in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau).

Step six, confirm your selection. The app will restart or reload with the new language applied.

After Switching

Once the language is changed, all menu items, buttons, labels, notifications, and help text within the app will display in your chosen Chinese variant. Some content such as community posts or certain announcement articles may still appear in English or other languages depending on the content source.

Switching Language on the Binance Website

Desktop Browser Instructions

Step one, open the Binance website in your browser and log into your account.

Step two, look at the top navigation bar. You will find a globe icon or a language selector, typically near the top-right corner.

Step three, click on the language selector. A dropdown menu will appear showing all available languages.

Step four, select Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese from the list.

Step five, the page will reload with the new language applied to the entire interface.

Language Persistence

Once you change the language setting on the website, it is saved to your browser cookies and your account preferences. The next time you visit Binance in the same browser, it will automatically display in Chinese. If you use a different browser or clear your cookies, you may need to set the language again.

Switching Language on the Desktop Application

If you use the Binance desktop application (available for Windows and Mac), the language settings are similar to the mobile app. Go to Settings from the menu, find the Language option, and select your preferred Chinese variant. The application will apply the change and may require a restart.

Troubleshooting Language Switch Issues

Language Change Does Not Take Effect

If you change the language but the interface does not update, try the following. Force close the app completely and reopen it. On the website, clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload the page. Log out and log back in. If using the mobile app, restart your phone.

Some Text Still Appears in English

Certain elements like cryptocurrency ticker symbols (BTC, ETH, USDT) always display in English because they are standardized international abbreviations, not translatable terms. Some promotional banners and third-party content may also remain in English. This is normal and expected.

App Crashes After Language Change

In rare cases, changing the language on an older version of the app can cause instability. Update the Binance app to the latest version, which can be downloaded from the official source. If the problem persists after updating, uninstall and reinstall the app, then set the language preference during the fresh setup.

Language Keeps Reverting

If your language preference keeps resetting to English, check whether you have multiple Binance sessions active on different devices. Language settings may be synchronized across devices, and another session might be overwriting your preference. Also check that your browser is not configured to override language settings.

Additional Interface Customization

Beyond language, Binance offers several other interface customization options that Chinese-speaking users may find helpful.

Currency Display

You can change the display currency to show crypto values in CNY (Chinese Yuan) or other currencies. This setting is separate from the language setting and can be adjusted in the same settings menu.

Time Zone

The default time zone for charts and timestamps can be adjusted to match your local time zone. For users in China, setting this to UTC+8 (Beijing time) ensures that all times displayed on the platform match your local clock.

Theme

Binance supports both light and dark themes. Choose whichever is more comfortable for extended trading sessions.

Using Binance in Chinese - What Changes

Navigation Terms

When the interface is in Chinese, the main navigation items change as follows. Trade becomes a Chinese equivalent, Earn becomes its Chinese equivalent, and so forth. The underlying functionality remains identical. Only the display language changes.

Customer Support

Binance offers customer support in Chinese through the same in-app chat and ticket system. When your interface is set to Chinese, you will automatically be connected with Chinese-speaking support agents when available, which can make resolving issues much faster if Chinese is your primary language.

Announcements and Help Center

Many Binance announcements and help articles are available in Chinese. The platform prioritizes translating important notices, tutorials, and policy updates into Chinese. With your language set to Chinese, these localized versions will be displayed automatically when available.

Download the Binance App for the best Chinese-language trading experience. CoinPath notes that the ability to trade in your preferred language reduces misunderstandings and helps you make more confident decisions on the platform.
